Jamil of Pro Speedy Plumbers is a true credit to his profession. Working with him was simply a wonderful experience. I cannot recommend him enough.
Not only is Jamil highly skilled (as you'd hope any gas and plumbing engineer with a gas safety certificate would be) but he is also calm, patient, understanding, and he explains everything in a clear, simple way—and *that* is the mark of true skill and expertise.
Jamil understood that when he arrived, we were in a state of extreme stress: our gas line had been forcefully shut off for over 24 hours, even as we kept receiving confusing, inconsistent information, when we managed to get any information at all (though not for lack of trying). The multiple entities and people we had already dealt with at that point had ignored us, been indifferent, dismissive, exasperated, condescending. When we asked them for information or expressed concern and distress, they acted as though we were just overreacting and annoying, and we just didn't understand anything anyway. By stark contrast, Jamil was respectful, analytical, meticulous yet efficient. And it was Jamil who found out what the problem was, what had happened, and he was able to fully explain everything to me—despite my lack of engineering degree, because yes, that is a possible thing to do. What's more, Jamil also taught me in passing some tips about boiler maintenance, taking his time so I could take careful notes.
We are so grateful to Jamil. He was at our house for maybe an hour at most. In that time, he solved our problem, gave us valuable advice for the future, brought a 24-hour long nightmare to its end and restored some sense of peace to our home. What more could anyone ask for?
