Terms and Conditions

Please read this document carefully as it sets out the terms under which we agree to carry out work at your property. If you have any questions or concerns, please address them before the commencement of any work.

1. Scope of Work and Pricing

1.1 We will complete the work specified in your quotation for the price stated, subject to these terms and conditions. All quoted prices include VAT at the prevailing rate.
1.2 Quotations are valid for 30 days from the date of issue. We reserve the right to withdraw or amend a quotation at any time before it is accepted.

2. Hazardous Materials

2.1 The quoted price does not include the removal of hazardous materials such as asbestos, which may only be identified during the project. Specialist contractors must handle such materials, and we can assist in arranging this service at an additional cost.
2.2 If asbestos removal is required, the area must be certified as safe before we can continue work.

3. Removal of Non-Hazardous Waste

3.1 Our price includes the disposal of standard waste, such as old boilers, cylinders, and replaced heating components.

4. Project Timeframes

4.1 Estimated completion times are provided in good faith. Should delays occur, we will notify you promptly and agree on revised timelines.

5. Access and Property Conditions

5.1 You may need to lift carpets, flooring, or other coverings to facilitate access for our team. If necessary, you can hire a contractor or request us to assist at an additional cost.
5.2 While we take care to minimize disruption, some damage to decor, such as paint or wallpaper, may occur. Any redecoration required after our work is your responsibility.

6. Tenant or Landlord Responsibilities

6.1 Tenants must secure their landlord’s written permission before work begins. We may require proof of this authorization.
6.2 If you provide false or inaccurate information about landlord permissions, you will be liable for any resulting losses or legal actions.

7. Listed Properties

7.1 If your property is listed or subject to planning restrictions, it is your responsibility to obtain any required permissions before we start work.

8. Utilities and System Condition

8.1 You must have an adequate gas and electricity supply at the property.
8.2 We are not responsible for faults in your existing system unless caused by our negligence.

9. Deposit and Payments

9.1 A deposit of 50% is required when accepting our quotation to secure your booking. The balance must be paid on completion unless agreed otherwise.
9.2 Payments for repairs, maintenance, or certifications must be made on the day of completion.

10. Cancellation Rights

10.1 You may cancel this agreement within 7 calendar days of acceptance by providing written notice.
10.2 If you agree to work commencing within the 7-day cancellation period, reasonable costs for work completed may still apply.

11. Data Protection

11.1 Pro Speedy Plumbing & Heating Ltd complies with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Your personal data will only be used for providing services, maintenance reminders, and regulatory purposes.
11.2 We may share information with relevant regulatory bodies such as Gas Safe or product manufacturers to register warranties or comply with building regulations.

12. Entire Agreement

12.1 These terms and your quotation form the complete agreement between you and us.
12.2 This agreement is governed by the laws of England and Wales.
